Neil Fleming

Neil is an award-winning playwright, designer, and screenwriter based in Calgary who has been mentoring emerging artists for over a decade. Neil has taught playwriting at Mount Royal University, Central Memorial High School, the Calgary High School Drama Festival, and Red Deer College. He has just completed his fifth year as the playwright-facilitator for Alberta Theatre Project’s long-standing Fresh Prints Student Writers Group. Neil also works as a freelance copywriter and video-producer creating short films, documentaries, corporate videos and commercials. He has won 4 AMPIA awards for screenwriting including two for the television series “Fixing Dinner” and one for his short film “Tug”. Neil is a member of the Playwrights’ Guild of Canada and is proud to sit on the board of the Alberta Playwrights’ Network.
